Killeen, TX - The Central Texas Business
Resource Center (The BRC), a collaboration of the Central Texas
Workforce System, Central Texas College and the Greater Killeen
Chamber of Commerce announces that
it will conduct the Killeen/Fort Hood Government Contracting Conference & Expo,
February 6, 2008 at the Killeen Civic & Conference Center in
Killeen Texas. This conference will feature a vendor exposition,
opportunities for small business owners to learn about accessing
multi-million dollar
government and private sector markets in
potential subcontracting opportunities in 2008,
as well as
provide the opportunity to network one-on-one with procurement
representatives
from government and private sector prime
contractors.
“The Greater Killeen and Fort Hood business community is growing
at a phenomenal rate.
We want to provide these businesses with
every opportunity to start, grow and increase their
productivity,” says Marcus Carr, Director of the Central Texas
Business Resource Center. “This government contracting
conference and exposition will allow small businesses in our
area of Texas to learn about government
and private sector
contracting rules, procedures and opportunities so that they can
access the multi-million dollar contracting market.”

dollars in goods
and services annually. The Killeen/Fort Hood
Government Contracting Conference and Expo will provide small
businesses, including small disadvantaged businesses,
women-owned, 8(A), HUB-certified, and veteran-owned businesses,
access
to government and private sector contracting
opportunities and information.
The conference includes a
business exposition where small businesses can showcase their
products and services to government and business attendees,
as
well as attend the training sessions with prominent government,
corporate, and business leaders.
